TacoTaco Japamex & Mexican Dining

Absolutely gorgeous food followed by amazing and friendly staff who do so well to cope with the busyness they have at dinner times. It states on the menu food doesnt include tax and also states the reason for their higher than usual prices (everything is sourced locally which we loved!) Not sure why people are complaining about the 500 yen charge. Just buy a drink and its not an issue. It also states this on the menu so people are free to leave if they dont like it. Thank you Taco Taco!! We're coming back for round 2 tonight!

Super awesome meal. Normally not a fan of Mexican but all in our group of 7 loved their meals. Service was friendly and fast despite the very busy night. Highly recommended.

Very nice staff who tried their best at all times to cope with the amount of people who wanted to dine. The portion sizes were generous and the chicken tacos were really delicious and had some great usual additions such as mushroom and edamame which I loved. It wasn't the most authentic Mexican food but I didn't come to Japan for that! Japamex was an experience worth having!

If you are looking for authentic Mexican food you are in the wrong country. But if you want really tasty Mexican style food in a nice atmosphere you have come to the right place. The owner/proprietor and the staff are very friendly and serve really nice Mexican style food. The guacamole chips are excellent as are the enchiladas and nachos. Good food, good people. Recommended.

Didn't appreciate their policy of requiring customers to buy a drink. The food was good quality, but in my opinion was a little too pricey for what it was. If you are on a budget, I recommend avoiding this place.

Enchilada was very delicious. I would really recommended Enchilada. Tacos was good. Staffs were awesome. They have different mexican style hats sombrero to wear and click photos.

A pretty solid spot to stop in for a snack or a drink. It was wide open at lunch time and (almost?) all of the drink menu is 30% off. The margaritas were pretty dang strong, so a decent value there.We just had nachos food wise, and they were pretty good. They had most of the toppings you'd expect: cheese, meat, avocado, jalapeño... And a few you wouldn't (I think there was some mushroom on it? Misc beans.) Better than a lot of what I've had in Japan.Restaurant is clean and nice on the interior, and very much reminds me of places back home in Arizona minus some gaudy decorations. Service was fine, although I think our waitress may have been new as she didn't seem to have a super strong grasp on the menu items or what was in them.Still, I'd go back if I'm in the area.

Yum yum yum. If you're hungry and there is two of you go the large nachos. Delicious!

Food was good and menu had a great variety including vegan and vegetarian options, but once the restaurant became busier the staff could not cope with the amount of orders. We had to wait 45 mins for a second round of beers and nachos, and then gave up on our third round because it never came. I’d recommend this place when it’s not peak times. All staff spoke great English and Japanese.

I love this place. Everytime we are in Hakuba definitely at least once we come here. Locally owned and runned. Great for kids too (and big kids) as there are books, where's wally, jenga, uno cards to keep them occupide. The food and drinks are great, atmosphere is great, warm and wonderful. Had my birthday here and even the cook (one of the owner and waitress-wife) came out to sing happy birthday. Was surprised to find out for 8 people it only billed to 3mun.

I’m generally against charging 500 yen unless you buy a drink. Food was above average for Japanese Mexican food and the staff was friendly.3000 yen for a plate of nachos that fed my 11 year old son and I was steep.

At first I was surprised by the menu. Never have I heard of a cover charge that forces you to purchase a drink (I usually like to just get water due to having a family which is can be costly) as well as the recommendation to get small dishes to share when the prices and previous reviews indicate that the sizes are quiet large. Despite this, the food was not the greatest Mexican but definitely satisfying, and service was on top of everything and had good English which proved very helpful. Also if you want to eat here then consider booking a table in advance, there were no spots when we first arrived and had to book for the following night instead.

A bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. Absolute best fajitas I've ever had in my life bar none. Our whole table went for them, and we did not regret it. The chef even came out to personally see that we were enjoying our delicious locally sourced steak and fresh vegetables. Mind. Blown.

Friendly, cozy, comfortable. Menu was a little unusual Mexican delivery from western style but ok. Won't touch back but not bad

Food and atmosphere here was great. After a tiring snowboard day, high calories Mexican food is a good choice for us. Taco and beer are perfect combination!
